Hiring senior React is hard
Good senior React developers are scarce, slow to hire and expensive to get wrong. Meanwhile the roadmap does not wait.
Senior hiring takes months
A full-time senior React hire in the US is a multi-month search at a high salary with no guarantee of fit. The feature you need shipped this quarter cannot wait for a hiring pipeline to resolve.
Velocity is stuck
Your team is capable but stretched. One more senior contributor who needs zero hand-holding is often the difference between a roadmap that slips and one that ships.
Tech debt is compounding
Inconsistent components, tangled state and missing review let small problems harden into slow, fragile code. Left alone it quietly taxes every future feature.
Who I work with
I work best with US teams that need senior delivery now and value someone who can self-direct.
- A startup that needs to ship its roadmap faster than hiring allows
- A SaaS team adding a senior React contributor for a few months
- A founder who needs a front end built right the first time
- An agency that needs trusted React capacity for client work
- A team that wants code review and mentoring alongside delivery
- A company replacing a contractor who left a codebase in rough shape
What I bring
Feature delivery
Production React and Next.js features shipped in your existing codebase, to your conventions, with the tests and documentation that keep them maintainable after I leave.
Component libraries and design systems
Reusable, accessible component libraries that make the whole team faster and keep the product visually consistent as it grows.
Code review and mentoring
Thorough, kind code review and pairing that raises the bar for the team, not just the lines of code I personally write.
Full Next.js stack
When a feature spans the front end, API routes and data layer, I own it end to end rather than stopping at the UI boundary.
How we start
Call
You describe the team, the codebase and what needs to ship. I tell you honestly whether I am the right fit.
Scope and trial
We agree days per week or a fixed scope, often starting with a short paid trial so we both confirm the fit.
Embed and ship
I join your standups, tools and workflow, and start shipping in the first week with minimal onboarding overhead.
Hand off clean
Everything I build is documented and reviewable, so your team owns it confidently when the engagement ends.

Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of React work do you take on?
I take senior, hands-on delivery work: building features in an existing React or Next.js codebase, standing up a new front end, untangling state and data fetching, building a component library and raising code quality through review. I work as an extension of your team, not a black box.
How does the engagement model work?
Usually a monthly retainer for a set number of days per week, or a fixed scope for a defined deliverable. I am happy to start with a short paid trial so we both confirm the fit before committing to a longer engagement.
Can a Europe-based developer work with a US team?
Yes, and the overlap is better than most US teams expect. My afternoons line up with US East Coast mornings, so there is a real daily window for standups, pairing and reviews in real time. Async-friendly habits, clear written updates and recorded walkthroughs cover the rest, and West Coast teams get a reliable head start on the day.
How do payments and contracts work for a US client?
I invoice in USD on a simple monthly or milestone schedule, and I am comfortable working on your standard independent-contractor agreement. As a non-US contractor I provide a W-8BEN, so there is no 1099 filing and no US tax withholding on your side. Payment by bank transfer, Wise or your preferred platform is fine.
What is your availability?
I take a small number of clients at once to keep quality high, typically two project slots per month. Availability changes, so the fastest way to check is to get in touch with your timeline.
Do you only do front end, or full stack too?
My core is senior front end in React, Next.js and TypeScript. I work comfortably across the full Next.js stack - API routes, server components, integrations and deployment - so I can own a feature end to end rather than stopping at the UI boundary.
