WCAG Accessibility Audit and Remediation for Switzerland
WCAG accessibility audit and remediation for Swiss websites
Paid service. Real findings, real fixes. EAA-ready by 2025. EU-incorporated, CHF or EUR invoicing.
Why most accessibility audits are worthless
Two patterns I see constantly. Automated scan reports flag 200 issues, 80 percent false positives, real blockers buried. Or expensive consultant PDFs: 60 pages of WCAG criteria, zero actionable remediation. You're left with a stack of "issues" and no path to fix them.
I do audits you can act on. Manual testing with assistive tech, code-level fix recommendations, severity ranking, and a remediation roadmap your dev team can execute against.
What I deliver
- Manual audit of in-scope pages or flows. Keyboard navigation, screen reader testing (NVDA, VoiceOver), zoom, contrast, focus management.
- Automated baseline (axe-core, Lighthouse) as documentation, not primary findings.
- Severity-ranked findings: Blocker / Major / Minor / Cosmetic.
- Code-level recommendations with specific components and tests to verify.
- Remediation roadmap prioritized for impact.
- Re-test after fixes, quoted separately, recommended.
When this audit is for you
- Swiss businesses trading into the EU and facing the European Accessibility Act (EAA) deadline.
- Public sector and federal mandate clients with WCAG 2.1 AA contractual obligations.
- E-commerce and banking sites preparing for EAA scope expansion.
- Companies whose previous audit produced a PDF nobody acted on.
Proof, not promises
- CeHDI (policy, multilingual, accessibility): full WCAG remediation on a policy-sector site where compliance was non-negotiable. Multilingual, screen-reader tested, live at cehdi.org.
How engagements work
- Fixed-price audit, quoted after a free 30-minute scoping call.
- Typical turnaround: 1 to 2 weeks depending on site size.
- Remediation either: I implement the fixes, or your dev team does and I re-test.
- Invoice in CHF or EUR. VAT reverse-charge for Swiss VAT-registered clients.
FAQ
Is the audit EAA-compliant? The EAA references WCAG 2.1 AA. My audit reports against that standard with EAA-specific scope notes (e-commerce, banking, transport, communications).
Is this audit certifiable? No audit is. WCAG conformance is a state, not a certificate. Anyone selling certification is selling theater.
What's the price range? Depends on site size. Single-flow audits start around CHF 1,800. Full-site audits run CHF 4,500 to CHF 14,000. I quote after the scoping call.
