Vibe Coded App Rescue

Your Vibe Coded AppNeeds a Senior Cleanup.

You shipped fast with AI and it worked, until it didn't. I audit vibe coded web apps, find what is broken and what is risky, and clean the codebase up so the app stops fighting you in production. Ten years of senior React and Next.js behind every fix.

  • 10 years senior React & Next.js
  • Audit first, cleanup second
  • Web apps only, fixed remotely

Why vibe coded apps break

Vibe coding gets an app to "it works". Production is where the invoice comes due. The speed that shipped your product is the same speed that hid the debt underneath it.

Security holes and leaked secrets

AI writes code fast and skips the boring parts: API keys committed to git, hardcoded credentials, admin endpoints with no authentication, dependencies nobody has reviewed. The app that won the demo is an open door in production.

It breaks at the worst moment

It worked on your machine and in the demo. With real users, real traffic and real data, the pieces AI hallucinated surface as crashes, lost records and features that quietly stop working at 2pm on a Tuesday.

Every fix breaks something else

The codebase grew prompt by prompt, so it has no structure. Change one thing and three others fall over. No tests, no clear boundaries, and nobody on the team knows what the whole thing actually does.

Who this is for

If you built a real product with AI and it now has to survive real users, this is for you.

  • A founder who shipped with Cursor, Claude or Bolt and now has paying users on a fragile app
  • A product that demos beautifully and surprises you in production
  • A team stuck because nobody understands the AI-written code well enough to change it safely
  • Someone who searched "fix my vibe coded app" and ended up here
  • An agency rescuing a client app that an AI build left half-finished
  • Anyone who wants an audit before committing to an expensive rewrite

What you get

  • Audit report

A written read of your codebase: what it does, where the risks are, which parts are solid and which are a liability. Line references and plain English, no jargon walls.

  • Prioritized fix plan

Every problem ranked by risk and effort, so you fix the things that can hurt you first. You see the whole map before you pay for a single change.

  • The cleanup

I do the dirty work: remove the dead code, pin the dependencies, add the missing error handling, close the security holes and make the app maintainable again.

  • Fixes and handover

The critical bugs fixed and the structure restored. You keep building on your app with a codebase a human can actually maintain.

How an engagement works

  1. Tell me what is breaking

A short message about your app and what hurts: the bug, the security worry or the pile of code you no longer understand.

  2. Audit and diagnosis

I read the codebase, run the app and check what it is actually doing in production. You get a written report of what is wrong and what is fine.

  3. The fix plan

A prioritized list of fixes with honest estimates. You choose what to fix first and what to skip. No upsell, no rewrite pitch.

  4. Cleanup and fixes

I fix the critical issues, clean up the rest and hand over a codebase that makes sense. You keep the momentum that got you here.

Why me

A decade of fixing production web apps

Ten years of production web apps, for clients from healthcare to Web3. When your vibe coded app breaks, you want the person who has already watched production break software a hundred different ways doing the audit. That is who reads your code.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does "vibe coded" mean?

It means the app was built with AI tools, prompt by prompt, iterating until it seemed to work. Vibe coding is fantastic for speed. The catch is that the same speed leaves out the engineering that keeps software alive: structure, testing, security and error handling. That is exactly the gap I fill.

Do you rewrite the app?

No, and that is a promise, not a preference. A rewrite throws away what works and takes months. I audit what you have, fix what is broken and clean up the rest. You keep your product and your momentum.

Can you fix an app built with Cursor, Claude Code or Bolt?

Yes. The tool that wrote the code does not matter, the code does. I have fixed apps built with all of them. What matters is the stack underneath, and I work on React, Next.js and TypeScript web apps.

What stacks do you work with?

React, Next.js and TypeScript web apps, across the full Next.js stack: API routes, server components, integrations and deployment. If your app is built on another web stack, describe it and I will tell you honestly whether I am the right person.

How much does an audit cost?

An honest estimate after a short call about your app. Audits start from a fixed base and scale with codebase size and risk. You get the number before any work starts, and the audit itself is a fixed scope, not an open meter.

How long does a cleanup take?

The audit is days, not weeks. The cleanup depends on how much damage the audit finds, so I give you a timeline with the fix plan. Most rescues ship in one to three sprints, with the critical fixes first.

Do you need access to my code?

Read access to the repository and a way to run or preview the app. I can sign an NDA. I will tell you exactly what I need and I will not ask for access I do not use.

Do you use AI tools yourself?

Yes, when they make the work faster. The difference is who is in charge of the result. AI writes a draft, I review it, fix it and sign off on it with senior judgment. The tool that shipped your app is the same tool I use, the discipline is what changed.
