Why hire a Next.js specialist, not a "React guy"

Next.js is a framework with sharp edges. App Router routing, server components, streaming, caching, middleware, ISR revalidation, Vercel vs self-hosted tradeoffs. A generic React developer can build a Next.js site that ships, but only a Next.js specialist will build one that scales without a six-month refactor a year later.

FAQ

App Router or Pages Router? App Router for greenfield, almost always. For existing Pages Router apps, I'll tell you honestly whether migration is worth it for your case. It often isn't.

Vercel or self-host? Vercel for most. AWS via SST for compliance-bound clients (healthcare, finance, government). I'm fluent in both.

Can you join our daily standup? Yes. Sydney and Melbourne working hours overlap with mine by 3 to 4 hours, plenty of room for real-time.
